We wow to support our farmers at the best.  Selling here make you part of our community which not only provides life to the farmers but also people of the nation.

Who can sell on Farmerjunction?

Anyone selling agricultural and animal husbandry products is welcome.
In order to start selling, you need;

IF you are a Farmer or individual

  • Valid address
  • Valid phone number
  • Valid Bank account

And  Good Sprit.

If you are company, you will need

  • PAN Card(Personal PAN for business type “Proprietorship” and Personal + Business PAN for business type as “Company”)
  • VAT/TIN Number (not mandatory for books)
  • Bank account and supporting KYC documents ( Address Proof, and Cancelled Cheque)

How do I sell on Farmerjunction?

To sell on Farmerjunction:

  • Login yourself at farmerjunction.com
  • Make sure your profile is up-to-date (your name, address, phone, contact information etc.,)
  • Apply as a vendor
  • Wait for the approval (may take 24hrs)
  • List your products under specific product categories OR email us at products@farmerjunction.com , the list of products and its description. If you have images send those too.
  • If you have your own website and already selling, just let us know what products you want to be listed at farmerjunction.com. We will list those products at our website.
  • Once everything uploaded we will create a webpage for you or your store.
  • Once the customer placed an order, we will notify you by email and or text message. You can also check your profile page by log in to farmerjunction.com
  • Once you received the notification, you pack the product and dispatch to the customer address through nearest courier service of your choice or you can deliver yourself to the customer.

Can I offer both products and services on Farmerjunction?

Currently, you can sell only products and not services on Farmerjunction.
But you can list your service details under services category from the main menu. It is totally free

Do I need to courier my products to Farmerjunction?

No, Farmerjunction will not handle any products. All you need to do is pack the product, dispatch it to the nearest courier service or deliver yourself to the customer.

What are the documents required to register as a seller on Farmerjunction?

You are required to have the following documents:

  • PAN Card(Personal PAN for business type “Proprietorship” and Personal + Business PAN for business type as “Company”)
  • VAT/TIN Number (not mandatory for books)
  • Bank account and supporting KYC documents ( Address Proof, and Cancelled Cheque)

I do not have a TIN/VAT, can I still register as a seller with only PAN?

You can register as a seller with only PAN, but you will be eligible to sell only books. If you want to sell any other product, you will mandatorily require a VAT/TIN.

Will I get charged for listing products on Farmerjunction?

No. Listing of products on Farmerjunction.com is absolutely free. Farmerjunction does not charge anything for listing your catalogue online.

Who takes care of the delivery of my products?

It is your responsibility to deliver the product to the customer. You can choose any mode of delivery you want. But the delivery should be on time.

How and when will I get paid?

The payment will be made directly to your bank account through NEFT transactions within 7-14 business days of dispatching an order. The actual payment period will vary depending on how long you have been selling at Farmerjunction, your customer ratings and number of orders fulfilled.

When can I start selling?

After all the required documents have been verified and your seller profile is complete, you can start listing your products and start selling.

How many listings are required to start selling?

There is absolutely no minimum number, but you are expected to list at least one product.

How do I contact Farmerjunction to become a seller? Is there a seller helpline?

Yes, you can get all the help you need. Farmerjunction now has a dedicated seller’s page and support for sellers. You can raise a ticket through the Seller Support Ticket Dashboard.

Who decides the price of the products?

As a seller, you will set the price of your products.

Do I need to courier my products to Farmerjunction?

No, Farmerjunction will not handle any products. All you need to do is pack the product, dispatch it to the nearest courier service or deliver yourself to the customer.

What are the fees charged?

Once an order is successfully delivered, the following deductions are made from the order item value:

  • Payment gateway Fee or Credit card fee ( 3 % on the Order item value )
  • Webstore Maintenance Fee (1.5%)
  • Government Tax (15% of Marketplace Fee including Swachh Bharat & Krishi Kalyan cess)

What is Commission fee and how much commission is charged?

Commission fee is a certain percentage of the order item value of your product. It differs across categories and vertical/sub-categories.
Please give an example to show the cost calculation.
Here’s an easy example, which illustrates a sample the above calculation:

Calculation: To arrive at the final selling price including taxes and shipping, multiply your actual selling price by 1.21

(Example: If you are selling a product costing Rs.826.5, multiply by 1.21 to arrive at final list price (Listing price= 826.5*1.21= Rs.1000.0)

Listing a product refers to filling out all the necessary information and adding images of the product so that a customer can make an informed buying decision.

How many products do I need to list to start selling?

There is absolutely no minimum number, but you are expected to list at least one product.

How do I list my products on Farmerjunction?

We give you a step-by-step process of how to list your products on our website. It is important to choose the most suitable category to list your product as it will help customers find your products faster. Based on the category you choose, you’ll be asked to include product details such as variety, quality, size, color, etc.

Can I get help for development of catalog (product images, description, etc.)?

Yes, we are happy to help you at every stage while doing business with us. We help you connect with industry experts for the development of your catalogs.

How do I price my products?

When pricing products on Farmerjunction, please account for the applicable Marketplace Fee and include a suitable margin to arrive at the Selling Price. For ease of calculation, you can use our Commission Calculator widget on your profile.

Will I get charged for listing products on Farmerjunction?

Can customers leave feedback and why is it important to me?

Yes, customers can share feedback. Good ratings from customers bring you more business as you will have higher ratings displayed on Farmerjunction.com. At the same time, negative feedback gives you an opportunity for you to improve your performance.

Who takes care of the delivery of my products?

It is your responsibility to deliver the product to the customer. You can choose any mode of delivery you want. But the deliver should be on time.

What if want to deliver only to particular region of the country?

When you list your products,include the pincodes where you can deliver your products, in the shipping information

How do I manage my orders on Farmerjunction?

Through our seller dashboard, we make it really easy for you to manage your orders. Whenever a customer places an order, we send you an e-mail alert. You need to dispatch the product within the time frame provided by you and inform us through the seller portal. So we can alert the customer about the product arrival.

Does Farmerjunction provide packaging material?

No. It is your responsibility to pack the items using suitable and good quality packing material and make sure your products remain undamaged.

What protection does Farmerjunction offer in case of lost/damaged goods and fraudulent customer claims?

Farmer junction tries its best to protect its sellers against fraud. You can request a claim through the seller dashboard. When the buyer is at fault, you will receive due compensation.

Would I get compensation if the customer has returned damaged products?

Yes, you can raise a claim through Seller Dashboard. Depending on the case and category, you will be given a refund provided you have adequate proof that you shipped an authentic/undamaged product. This will help us close the dispute in your favor.

Would I get compensation if the customer has replaced the original product with a different item?

Yes, you can raise a claim through Seller Dashboard. Depending on the case and category, you will be given a refund provided you have adequate proof that you shipped the right product. This will help us close the dispute in your favor.

Would I get compensation if the goods are damaged or lost in transit?

Since both packaging and delivery are entirely your choice, farmer junction may not be responsible for the loss or damage of the product during transit.
