Indian Mother, the sacred cow

Indian culture begins with adoration of the mother. Cows are the mothers of all creatures. They are verily the mothers of the 33 crores of demigods that administrate creation in the material existence throughout all the universes. Cows are the goddesses of the gods and the refuge of all auspiciousness. Cows bestow every kind of happiness and for these reason they always are worshippable. They are the support of all the worlds for by their milk they nourish terrestrials beings and by their ghee offered in sacrifice they nourish the denziens of the celestial realms. Nothing superior to cows.

Desi Cow
India’s culture begins with adoration of the mother. The Vedic culture speaks of seven mothers: the Earth, rivers, the Divine Mother (God as Mother), mantras, holy scriptures, cows, and the birth mother. All of these forms of the mother are respected in India.Motherhood is a life of sacrifice, a life of service, a life of compassion, and a life of giving. In this vast creation, the cow is the only creature whose every part and moment of existence are useful. Her urine and dung are healthy not only for human beings, but also for other living beings and for the earth itself. Her milk and milk products are used extensively. She is useful while living as well as after her death. Her bone, skin, body, and horns are used after her natural death. The horns are not only useful for making combs, and artistic things and also for medicine. Gorochana, a substance collected from particular dead cows, is very holy and can be used in Ayurveda (alternative medicine). In other words, everything about the cow is useful, not only for the earth and agriculture, but also for many other purposes. People in India understand the value of the cow, which is why we love cows and want them to be properly taken care of, so the entire creation will be healthy and happy. More about Desi cow.Org

Know the Cow
Our mission is to protect, preserve, and improve India’s indigenous cattle population, which are called gou, desi, or Brahman cows. Focusing on this mission will not only improve the life of cows, but will also preserve nature by conserving the quality of soil, water, and air, and improve human life by providing higher quality milk and milk products than that of cross-bred exotic (European breed) cows.Crossbreeding indigenous Indian cows with imported bulls and semen to increase milk production started in the 1960s has caused the obliteration of the indigenous Indian cattle, which includes precious breeds developed over a millennium. Our goal is to bring more awareness of the benefit of rearing pure bred indigenous Indian cows. More about know the cow.Org

Gau sewa mission
Cow slaughter is banned except in the states of Kerala, West Bengal and the seven north eastern states. Cows are routinely shipped to these states for slaughter, even though it is illegal to transport cows for slaughter across provincial borders. However, many illegal private slaughterhouses also operate in big cities such as Mumbai. While there are approximately 3,600 slaughterhouses operating legally in India, there are estimated to be over 30,000 illegal slaughterhouses. The efforts to close them down have so far been largely unsuccessful. More about Gausewamission.Org

Cows of Indian origin (also known as Desi Cows) have been recognized for their unique features found in no other cow breeds across the world. Our forefathers studied these features and have built a lifestyle that promote health, wealth and prosperity for the individual and the world.Sadly, since in the last 200 years, Desi cows have been facing a crisis. They have been treated as just animals giving milk and were disowned once they reached old age. Many of them are sent to slaughter houses. The export of Desi breeds for money is also on the rise. Of the original 102 Desi breeds in Bharat, we are left with only 32 varieties More about cowprotectionindia.org
